Pale Rider,

Cleveland Brewing Company is brilliant. I like the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Blackout Stout, the Dortmunder Gold, the Eliot Ness, etc. In Pittsburgh we have the Church Brewworks. Excellent stuff, I like the Pipe Organ Ale. But it's all good.

I live right between Cleveland and Pittsburgh (I go to Pittsburgh more often as I have family there).

Sometimes, you just need a Guinness. Much more complex than the regular draught but with a bit of a bitter finish.

That's so mouthwatering... I had one last week at the airport. It was a rip off, the most expensive Guinness I've tasted. It was worth tough.

Picked up some Belhave scottish ale the other day. I really enjoy its sweet malty flavor.I do not care for a lot of hops and that is why I enjoy this beer.

Picked up some of these this weekend. I still prefer UK beers over these , but this is a nice change of pace.

Anyone tried the Sam Adams Chocolate Boch?

It's a limited release. Little over $15 bucks for a 25 fluid ounce bottle. A tad bit pricey, but very tasty!

I enjoyed it more that the Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout's I have right now.

Revisiting a seasonal from Great Divide ...

Pretty darn good Pale Ale called, "FreshHop" ...

I don't like it as much as those other near archetypal offerings from Great Divide like, "Old Ruffian Barleywine" ... "Hercules Double IPA" and "Titan IPA" ... but it's pretty interesting and definitely on the grassiest of Hop sides ... not real bitter but definitely like a fresh mow'd lawn ...

I highly highly recommend that anybody who loves ale should def investigate Great Divide ...

Enjoy your saturday night ya'll.

found this Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale on sale for $7.50 at the local liquor store. Quite a powerful brew. Super hoppy with lots of sweetness, packs quit a punch as well. Turns out in terms of cost per alcohol content, something you have to consider as a college student

this brew @ $7.50 per six-pack is priced pretty close to a case of keystone light. haha talk about a steal.

To give the exact figures:
KEYSTONE: (30 cans * 4.2% abv) / 14$perCase = 9 units of alcohol per dollar
SIERRA: (6 bottles * 9.6% abv) / 7.5$perPack = 7.68 units of alcohol per dollar

In relative terms, it would take $16.41 worth of sierra nevada to get you as drunk as a $14 case of keystone. Math is fun rite???
