Hello All,

In Europe now t's impossible to buy a dmp-z1.

I contacted online store to know why it's impossible at this moment to buy a dmp-z1 ?

Two stores indicated me that dmp-z1 production was discontinued permanently. It will be impossible to buy one.

Have you heard about that ?

Not sure about USA but it's been removed from Sony UK website since the start of the year, i think my unit was one of the last ones, if not the last.

Yes i heard from accessory jack it was discontinued before i got licky to biy one from amazon Getmany in 2021

@Rob49 Yes I loved my dmp-z1. I have the combo dmp-z1 + mdr-z1r I am very happy but I confess when I see that Doug2507 has the Audeze LCD5, I am like kid who would like to try the dml-z1 with LCD5...

I've not heard LCD-5 yet, they're still in transit. I'll be using them with my desktop rig rather than DMP.

Your rig seems to be more adapted for LCD5, but if you try them with DMP I will be curious to get your feedback.

It's all boxed up ready to ship so very much doubt i'll pair them together. Add on the fact that 5 generally needs EQ which i'll do through Roon kind of rules DMP out for me.

For me, I think it’s a toss up between the Utopia, MDR-Z1R and the MySphere 3.1 and 3.2. I listen on high gain with the DSD remastering on.

You use MDR_Z1R with DMP-Z1 with high gain too ?

Regarding headphone Mysphere 3 with dmp-z1, do you think it's adapted to all kind of music ?
