Thanks. It’s positive news, although, I’ll only really believe it when it happens, but they’ve acknowledged that they have to do something.

It didn’t make sense to me, with the first player, saying they couldn’t get the parts. Surely, you don’t produce a premium product & not be able to fix it, should it go wrong ?

( As I’ve said before, this is the U.K. & increasingly there’s an attitude of I can’t be bothered, where Sony Central Services, are concerned. )

I would expect as much from a flagship by Sony lol! In the states, the default is only 1 year, which is barely enough for anything

Don’t forget, I’ve had TWO players in a period of just under 13 months going faulty ( & lost a month of the warranty, because they kept it for a month. )

I didn’t fail the players, the players failed me & as I’ve rightly said, premium players should have a expected life of many years & given the expense, it was only right that Sony did something.

Yes for reviews i tend to work on MS Word on laptop and then just copy/paste it after proofing

Spoke with Sony UK directly, they told me I could get it through an official dealer, which I did.

In Europe now t's impossible to buy a dmp-z1.

I contacted online store to know why it's impossible at this moment to buy a dmp-z1 ?

Two stores indicated me that dmp-z1 production was discontinued permanently. It will be impossible to buy one.

Have you heard about that ?
