I'm definitely feeling the jazziness (and maybe also some Latin influence) on some tracks as well, including these two posted by koover...

Alot of syncopation on that 2nd track by Arch Echo.

I'm guessin some of guitarists in this genre are Santana fans.

Caligula's Horse - "Will's Song"

Probably the heaviest song on the album, but there's a lot good stuff here, even if much of it is more like prog rock.

If that "Arch Echo: Earthshine" is what progressive metal is all about, I'm in! That was cool.

Lol. They’re great but after I posted it, I kinda thought to myself that maybe I shouldn’t have. Not really progressive metal but some of their other tracks have some influences. Nevertheless, they’re a very solid band and all of their material (only 1 album) is worth checking out. Glad you liked them as I do immensely.

Subbed to this thread. But...
Didn't know anything about this thread until now. You should have posted links in the prog thread :)

Lets hope it will get busy.

New song from Evergrey. Album should be released within a few weeks.

Please someone link me to that thread!

If that's what you really want, there's no need to start another thread.

You can still change the title of this thread with the "Thread Tools" pulldown menu next to the "Subscribe To Thread" option at the beginning of the thread. These are in the upper right above your first post. You can title this thread whatever you want.

I've made small tweaks to my thread titles on several occasions. It's no big deal.

"Instrumental" implies no vocals to me btw. Is that what you want?
