I'd be willing to host it at the Adria if you guys want (Did I just say that out loud or was I just thinking that?).

I'm there! ...but I'm just bringing a coupla portables, iPod (reference source), ES2s, and PXC300 folders (reference cans), extra 9Vs, and wallwarts/Euro adaptors -- assuming security doesn't open my carry-on and confiscate them. Okay, okay -- I'm just carrying the little stuff for the long flight.

We'll have to set up an international drive to pay for roundtrip transport of bozebuttons' gear.

I'll want to enjoy the city and be back for work Monday a.m., so I'll just be at the meet 1/2 hour this time, instead of 1 hour (as in Babylon... now that sounds wrong -- why the heck would a town deliberately name itself "Babylon"?).

Hope we can enlist the Euro & Asian vendors to attend. This might be a bit too far for Justin, Mikhail, Ray, Tyll, etc. to schlep -- though Rudi did make it to our First Nat'l/Internat'l Meet.

Well Im-Mitty -- you outdid yourself on venue selection, this time.

Of course, if I hit gridlock and miss my flight to Praha, I'll catch the next flight, skip the meet and just see the town -- in which case, hasta la vista babies.

I'm dying to try out some of the portable hardware, and the chance to try out Ray Samuels' offerings in particular would have been fantastic. *sigh*

So when's the next NYC meet? Just don't make it November 5th of next year, or I'm even more S.O.L. *pouts*

you should've moved the wedding date & place....so that you can get married during the NY meet
wink.gif
with all the head-fiers to congratulate your marriage....and you are standing there with your bride, you with a HD600 on your head...and your bride with an Omega2 ....

Thanks for putting on this meet NY Head-Fiers! I had not been to a New York meet before, so it was great to meet some people such as bozebuttons, Romanee, jjcha, MrSlacker (who picked me up at the airport and showed me around the city, thank you for that), stevesurf, jpelg, nikongod, danny, SiBurning, Dimitris, machead, Peter, Dave, and Nankai. I know this is only a few of you, sorry if I've left anyone out.

I thought one interesting part of this meet were the earphones Nankai brought with him. It's a rare occurrence to have a new pair of phones at a meet. I tried the VSONIC IEMs and for the price, I think they are a great value. I believe Nankai will be offering a group buy or setting up distribution of these IEMs soon.

Thanks again,
Justin

Just as long as it doesn't turn out like the movie "Hostel" that Tarantino had a twisted hand in. That movie alone will stop me and my daughter from backpacking through Eastern Europe.

BTW- Many airlines have a contract with the Adria for there crews to stay over on layover. That's why it was such an issue reserving more than 30 rooms for the 2 nights. Ben Franklin or was it Ulysses S. Grant helped resolve that problem

I meant the kind of base in the schoolyard that allows you to be "not it", but then again, you knew that Rockbox face

Well guys now you've finally gotten my wife interested in this hobby. She is Czech and grew up in Prague, or at least until she was twelve, and so she'd be quite happy if there was a head-fi meet in her old home town. Prague is a very beautiful city and very hip and up to date with the latest technology so I'm sure that we would have no trouble in finding plenty of new headphile recruits for this hobby of ours.

Some other big pluses: lots of beautiful women, plenty of delicious beer and inexpensive live classical music concerts seven days a week in great concert halls.
