Do you mean build quality or sound?

May i ask about the reason? Meze Elite are fine cans, but given how much love Susvara get here on HF I simply had to ask :D
I tried to love the susavra. Tried several amps, dacs and streamers. Powercables and hp cables. Even usb cables. They were to bright for me over time. Elite with the New angled pads and premium silver cable from meze is more like the sound I was missing. More meat and fuller sound.

I just got in a set of new he1000v2 (had them back when they were new 2017/2018?) they sound wonderfull, a little bright, maybe better after a little burn in. Also have the Heimdall 2 cable for it. Had it with susvara. Sounds a bit smoother and more closed in, kind of.

Stealth he1000 was way too bright for me. Even the HE1000 SE was to bright.

I would never consider Susvara as bright cans, but I can understand that you do. Something tells me that you're a treble-sensitive listener :)

What about EQ? Everything you mention are quite controversial and questionable in making any effect on the sound, whereas EQ is known to do exactly what you have been trying to do in the first place since the day it was implemented and used in audio history.

By the way, I also think Susvara is a tick bright.

For me, the Susvara is not too bright, but the bass could be stronger, comparable to that in the HE1000SE, which I love :)

Not sure about HEKSE, but HEKv2 to my ears didn'h have bass as strong (in the sense of punch) as nicely amped Susvara. In case of these cans amps really make a world of a difference.

HEKse there’s no comparison. It trounces a Susvara’s bass even with all the power it can handle.

That's interesting if not a bit unexpected. I'll need to read more about these. Thanks for sharing :)

With clean power and EQ, they will pound with the best of ‘em.

@TeamHiFiMAN

I own, and love your entry-level Sundara’s. And they’re great headphones. But I’ve heard great things about your HE1000 Stealth’s and I‘m excited about how they could improve on my Sundara’s.

But after much deliberation (and I was this close to ‘pushing the button’ on a new pair of HE1000 Stealth’s yesterday), I’ve decided not to move-up the HiFiMAN range to the HE1000’s.

And it’s got nothing to do with the quality of your products. The thing that still irks me is your limited warranty. If I’m gonna potentially drop over £1k on a new pair of headphones I want, no I demand a better warranty. A year simply isn’t good enough, especially when your competitors such as Senny & Beyer are offering three, or even five years warranty on their higher-end headphones.

If you’re listening HiFiMAN, sort this out, and you have a return customer. Until then, I would urge you to take account of what I say, and consider providing a better warranty for buyers of the Arya Stealth, and above.

Yes, you’re right. Thank you. I’ve just checked the HiFiMAN website, and it is two-years.

This does change things. A little… :relaxed:

Thanks again.
