Are there any cheap 24 bit audio DAPs? With good sound quality

Is there a reason for you to insist on 24bit audio? aside of the fact that it's a controversial format (i don't know if anyone can say that it makes a difference while being 100% sure) people are having a hard time to spot a difference between 16bit FLACs and 320 MP3s..
my advice is that with your budget you won't even be able to spot the difference between different quality MP3s so stick with something like the S5 which is the king (maybe?) of U30 DAPs.Again, you need the perfect environment and top-knotch gear to MAYBE tell a difference
from 320 MP3s (maybe 16bit FLACs) and above.

@LaughMoreDaily i think that he's reffering to FLACs and the Colorfly C3 can play up to 16bit/44.1kHZ (CD quality)

The colorfly can't play more than CD Quality? Interesting. I didn't know that. Benjie S5 is better than it? Cool.

I'd be more concerned about the quality of the player than it being able to play 24 bit, just my 2c.....

C3 can play 24 bit WAV files without issue. I don't care for FLAC so the 16/44.1 limitation doesn't bother me. 24bit WAV sounds fine but I tend to agree with Vapman concerning this topic!

Unless your library is consistent with 24bit only files I wouldn't be too bothered about hi-res. 16/44 FLAC is fine and generally the standard these days. While I've 'thought' to hear slight differences comparing two files of 16bit vs 24bit files it certainly wasn't enough for me to justify the storage space imo. 16bit and let the gear do the rest.

So the final question which one should I buy Benjie S5 or Benjie X1?

Benjie S5 is pretty good for the money, the openness and soundstage is worth it alone. Nicer to use than C3, better battery life, no real complaints.

C3 does sound better from memory but Benjie stands his ground considering he costs the same as a take away pizza.
