 so far so good.
Interesting controls.
I used the pot to turn it on, then with a higher volume was able to drop the volume down by holding left button down. Used right to bring it back up.
It seems this will allow you to select the usable pot volume range?
Recall reading something about turning it on with a button also.

Will toy with controls in a bit kinda hard when I am still using the thing ( 2 hours straight so far )

Really impressive so far. So far prefer it to the Ihifi 812v2 and C3 ( possibly even those amped ).

=Really solid/bold gorgeous sound.
Doesn't seem sloppy.
Notes seem well handled and controlled.
Noticing a lot of cleanly portrayed little things all about that didn't show so much with other stuff.
Seems to say 15v swing (?) also.
Translation at times can be goofy I am going off the ebay listing info I saved to pdf.

Testing is ongoing of course. Working through various tracks I know very well. Using with a JVC MX10-B at the moment  will have to try some others in due time.

Not bad shipping time from China to Canada here of that ebay listing. Ordered Oct 8, today is the 26

Curious to see what others think.

Who knows maybe it simply has good synergy with these particular headphones.

Really curious the control of the volume with the buttons I didn't know it!
The sound is good. I prefer it to the xduoos. It is also as -if not more- powerful than them.  Good soundstage. Not as detailed as the Zishan dsd but it's a quite enjoyable sound signature. It doesn't have Eq and I feel that it doesn't need most of the times. Strong but controlled bass. All the spectrum well balanced.
It also has line out and acts as an amp. All of this for 24eur...
you turn the volume knob and the music starts at the point you left it immediately, and no fancy screen here. It reminds me the old days, when Walkman cassette was the king of portable sound...

I tried to turn it on with a button like it said in the ebay listing information, but it only comes on by turning the volume dial.

I'd say the sound is not overly bright, but maybe a slight notch below bright = basically kind of like my Super A JVC fullsized thing.
Though everything is there it is not shrill.
Very strong sound.

Be sure to hold the right button down until max volume is reached with that, then  use the volume pot to play within that maximum power range, and of course hold the left down for a lesser power range.

Interesting to see the volume pot can turn nearly 360 degrees all the way around rather than 3/4 of the way like many do.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that yessir!!!!
beerchug.gif
it resumes exactly where you turned it off in the same track that is great.

So far it also doesn't freeze up or anything  when using a memory card that has FLAC files on it. Seems to simply read the next mp3 on the card and skip over things it can't read like they do not exist. <= pretty sure anyhow.

It can power a difficult to drive T50rpMK2 excessively modified set quite adequately.

I'm glad it wasn't just me thinking it sounds excellent. haha

Using it was another one of a few moments in this stupid audio hobby where I got excited, a wow moment.

**** for that line out thing I have not tried it yet, so it can use an external amp??? Or is that "line out" jack only for adding an INPUT from an external player and using it as amp mode only?

Or both?

I'll have to check.

I'll have to check.

It´s also LO, despite not being very strong. And when it detects an input sound it acts as line-in.
My unit has a little background noise when in silent or in very low volumes (depending on the earphone used and the level of the battery).
What I don´t know yet is if the oamp  can be replaced. It could be interesting.

The opamp sure looked like it was a socketed setup in the pictures.

Anyone else notice that Amazon offers a $137 installation service for the Colorfly C10?

  1. Installing customer-supplied audio/video devices
  2. Programming new home theater remote, if applicable
  3. Unit testing and clean up
  4. Providing use, care and cleaning instructions

What a sweet deal.

Actually  I am I don't understand, there's no link to it?  I went to amazon.com and could not find anything, what makes it worthwhile? Why does it cost 138 dollars to install a firmware. I don't know maybe someone can explain.

I don't know that they even install the firmware. This seems to be a service offered with a lot of their electronics, for example if you needed somebody to mount your TV or hook up your home theater. Not sure it would be much help, or any at all, on a dap.

I don't think there is a separate link for the installation, its just an option on the product page, and for what its worth, on my end, amazon shows the installation as $205.

Ok.....thats actually a services fed for a wrong device.Like slim quoted ,those services are associated for setting up AV receiver/Home theater, wall mount TVs and likes.,by service technicians and it involves e labor.

We dont need any of those services to our handy DAPs and the FW updates can be had from their respective mfrs officially thru their dowload links. And we can flash ourselves.
