Obscure Chinese DAPs

Very interesting cqtek. It seem Z3 match better with V-shaped earphones (but that graph at 6.32khz is crazy) while S1 with L-shaped ones (like my Westone ADV Alpha, they hit hard on bass and sub-bass with S1) and X2 with... everything!

Thank you.
In pic at 6.32KHz I'm playing a 19KHz pure tone. So you can see the roll-off at this frecuency. Also you can see the Z3 15KHz pic with blurred wave, more than S1 an X2 at 19.5KHz.
So I'm happy with my damaged ears because the measurements corroborate the opinions I wrote earlier here about these three DAPs about sound quality:
X2> S1> Z3

X2 and S1 are great for me, each one has advantages and disadvantages over the other, but in general for me X2 has greater potential for improvement over its small failures (small operating bugs) because they can be solved via firmware upgrade. S1 has greater ease of use, ergonomics, being elongated it is less dense although it only weighs 4 grams less and the life of the battery is much higher. Both are slow changing songs.

I am writing a very graphic comparative review between 5 small DAPs sub 50 € (F.Audio S1, Zishan Z3, QNGEE X2, AGPTek Rocker, Ruizu A50 HD).

I will also review the Z3 and other devices with the Opamp-V5i from Burson Audio, thanks to Mr. Carlos. This way I can check if the change of Opamp improves the measurements and not only the sound at the subjective level.

Can someone suggest the best cheap dap for 25 euros max. I want something cheap to save my smartphone battery. Thanks.
That's not much to go on other than price, Benjie S5 is good within that price range, if you don't need Bluetooth get the original and flash the Agptek firmware (the Bluetooth firmware is not compatible with agptek firmware). You can probably get it from Amazon in your country or at least from within Europe for that money, or from AE.

Are you saying even after opamp rolling the X2 could be better than the Z3?

Which prefer? I don't have any doubt

Can you allow a HiFi player to filter frequencies and change them to other audible tones? When I was playing a 19KHz wave I was hearing a 6Khz wave, as shown in the image ... You may like it more or less, everyone has their own tastes, but in terms of quality I still have no doubt.

Hey I have a few questions about QNGEE X2.
Does it have EQ settings?
Has the screen options for brightness and is it easy to read at sunlight?
Gracias

Hello.

QNGEE X2 has EQ settings: Normal (plain), Bass, Heavy, Pop, Jazz, Unique and personalized (only 5 bands at 60Hz, 300Hz, 1Khz, 3Khz, 6KHz)
Brightness screen is configurable from 1 to 5, and, like others DAPs, even my Fiio X3II, is not easy to read under the sun on a beach near my house...:sunglasses:

I might have to look outside 'obscure chinese daps' for this, but any recommendations for a shanling m1 upgrade, but something of a similar size? Can be a bit bigger but looking for something fairly small compared to most modern players.

Right. The concept of HiFi is try to respect the original signal most as possible (the so-called Hi-End does this at best) and Z3 does not seem really HiFi.
This does not mean Z3 sounds always bad, it's like EQualizer, for some is useful, it's just the fact using EQ is never HiFi

I'm not too familiar with the science of it all, but yeah, it does sound bad and I do feel a bit ripped off since it was about $60+ for me to buy. At least you're educating other people to see if it's a worthwhile deal for them. Thanks for that.

Thanks for the recommendation . I like the benjie K3 at the same price, is this good? If i raise my budget to 35 euros, can someone suggest anything else, i can find the original mrobo c5 for 33 euros.
