Do you think that even digital output could be helped by that 0.5ppm TXCO Crystal Oscillator?
Pretty good choice for HK$2,680 if USB OTG (both hardware and software) were supported by HUM Pervasion, and a nice match for Hugo after adding Seagate Wireless Plus once we've found DLNA/UPnP clients supporting OTG.
They'll become very rich if a pure transport were made by modifying HUM Pervasion. Replace the DAC/amp with extra SDXC card slot(s) and we could add those 256GB PNY SDXC cards for cheap. Then swap TXCO with (dual) Femto clock and it's a done deal for tons of Hugo owners.
And they're actually based right here in HK as well, that could be such an interesting project since we still haven't seen anyone selling Android-based pure transport so far.
There's also the HUM Pervasion, right?
The Pervasion is equipped with Wolfson WM8741 and a class A amp section but doesn't support hi-res music. Volume is digitally controlled by WM8741.
The price on the Lyra page is in Chinese Yuan, right? So that'd work out to $431 USD. If so, I'm very interested in this player.
Edit: On second thought, I'll pass on this one - they're saying it will get about 6 hours of playtime using WAV.
It's in Hong Kong Dollar.
I've bee told shozy has a number of great upcoming daps. I wish the above dap had a small OLED screen.
