NOBLE Savant Thread (Impressions, Reviews, Tours)

Personally out of the two designs I would go for the plastic 1st gen Savant, especially for that price. I do like the design of the current gen Noble iems (second link) but the previous version is a bit more compact and there is no real difference in comfort for my ears between the two.

cheers for your help man. Just pulled the trigger on the gen 1 Savant. Too good to pass at that price.

Been using medium size Spiral Dots with my Savants for awhile now and while they sound great the left side keeps slowly sliding out while the right remains decent.  Possible I have 2 different size ears?  Have ordered the ML dots and was going to swap out just the left side and see if it holds better.  Anyone else have similar problem?

Yes, you might have different ear hole sizes. There's also a matter of how deep you plug the iems in, are they evenly pushed in? But for me, I don't have such issue with any of my iems.

Yup, I've had some IEM's i've had to wear different size tips in either ear to get a good fit. Especially for smaller IEM's that go a little deeper. Sucks, but this is the down fall of universals for weird people like us.

Good choice IMO. I have the plastic shell N3's and the new shell for Sage's. I much prefer the size and shape of the older design.

Anyone knows how Savant's sound signature would compare with R2Pro? I couldn't find any info, but perhaps my search skills are not the best... Jumped on the Massdrop X bandwagon initially but gave up after several less than stellar reviews. At just under A$500, the Savant looks like an interesting proposition.
I love my R2Pro, but the cable is not that good and the whole construction quite fragile. However, the deep bass, lush mids and the clarity of these things are simply sensational. If the Savants are anywhere near as good, I'd be a very happy listener :)

The savant is discontinued, the Noble x has more in common with the Sage than the Savant....

As far as reviews go, neither the Sage or the Noble x has been reviewed extensivley.

Considering there were over 1k Noble X universals sold, I would expect more reviews, impressions and comments in the near future.

Well, got one of the last Savants available for A$498 delivered. My R2Pro cable just broke a channel above the plug. Enough wire issues already. At least the Noble has a replaceable one.

The Savant is great product one of my favorites, great for acoustics, unplugged type music

Got them an hour ago, fitted the large red bore tips and started listening. Amazing stage, detail, crisp highs. For the price, absolute winners. Lows not as nice as my R2Pros but everything else compensates. Highly recommended if you can get them at A$500!

Good to know you enjoy your Savants!
Have had mine for a week and just absolutely love the musical sound these provide. The mids are beautiful and well detailed. Highs are extended well and non fatiguing and the lows are well detailed and are more than enough for me with this type of sound signature. My new favourite IEM. Pairs up well with my iphone 7 plus. Use the Chord Mojo mainly at home and the Savants are a great combo with them too.

A bargain if anyone in Australia is after them. A$498 at Addicted to Audio is ridiculously good IMO.

I miss my old 1st gen savants :frowning2: i loved them. just got the sage.i like it.but it is much bigger than the old 1st gen savants and sticks out of my ears a bit.but maybe thats cause i have small ears.it may not be a problem for you guys.i like the old design better cause it's black and a lot smaller and lighter than the new ones.and has the wizard sig too.looks cool :)

i only got to try my sage for a max of 10 mins cause i have an irritation on my left ear and it hurts a little..a bit of ringing too :frowning2: the doctor said i should limit cleaning my ears to a max of 1 per week.my wife says i should stop buying headphones.lol.
Hopefully ears will be fine by january so i could enjoy the sage.thanks noble!
