I know I'm EXTREMELY late to the party, but I'll finally be joining the Noble family in less than a week. I purchased the Savant Wizard editions and now the painful slow waiting week lies ahead, lol. Screenshot_2017-12-04-14-58-42.png

I agree 100%. The color combination is absolutely stunning! I have the yellow wizards in route and can't wait to receive them. I check the classifieds nearly every day hoping one of the green wizards get put on sale. I would buy them in a second. Well done on their creation!

I received my Savant Wizard editions today. Wow, they were love at first sight (and hearing). I haven't been able to take them out of my ears! I've already got about 6 hours ear time and they just seem to get better and better with each song I listen to. Amazing tuning @FullCircle!

Hello all! Just thought I would say that after a couple of years without the Savants I had to hear them again. I am glad to say that they had me listening to them as if it was song one with them; just stunning and wonderful for this longtime audiophile.

Stunningly and surprisingly simplistic.... which is why I gave them the name "Savant"

I am glad to hear you like them.

Standard 13 westone tubing works as a charm.

For resistor use rhopoint gg102A on ED29689 instead of other resistor.(2x10ohm in series)
Damping factor improves and source sensitivity decrease.

    Loved Savant Wizard edition

And I dont know why people were saying about brittle and honky things.
Well it gets deviated and sharp on source impedance amp with virtual ground.

If they have real ground amp and true zero ohm amp, this things scale way beyond imagination

Way more than Sage, Kaiser 10 encore in noble lineup
And more than spiral ear SE5 ultimate.

I was thinking of doing a 20Hz super lowpass CI to this setup(since it is open to community, and mine is a DIY edition....I have heard Savant original and matched my DIY to it)
Because the Savant lacks the rumble only, and in my experience, super low end creates depth in stage.

The 3dB slope will raise the 30Hz, 40Hz etc slightly, to give it the bass it deserve without loosing the mids.

And well people can call it sensitive, but I think 12ohms to 38ohm on HF is not bad compared to Knowles RAB 22ohm to 200ohms on 3kHz and then drop and then raise to 300ohm.

Resistor I used is rhopoint gg102A custom specified 0.01% sqauristor wirewound 20ohms on ED29689

Thanks for the Savant. This iem tells me ordinary drivers can be better than custom one
(Well my savant sounds more deep in sound due to resistor slight inductance, very slight)

So Basically what you are saying is a Savant II would be in order with the bass lifted slightly, while still maintaining the accuracy of the mid/high driver.

    Your wish is my command

Presenting the Savant II, offering up a more full bodied sound but yet still holding onto the principles of the original Savant (squeezing the most out of 2 drivers)

    What......its not April is it.

    Dont say its real.

    Well, that is too quick.

And what I meant to say was
    Only the lowest frequency(subbass).

No change in midbass and the whole spectrum....

Well, now I understand why people call you wizard.
Its not about bodywork and tuning

But taking out bombs and exploding it while people remain surprised(in a good way)
    LoL

I was doing 5dB L-pad attenuator with DCR as reference for impedance.(12.4ohms)

And it worked like a charm.(near socket, not on individual driver, but whole circuit.)

    No mismatch in impedance
    110dB love

    Soundstage improved in depth
But still the lowest subbass is missing

Plugged it in tube, no shift in phase and impedance
Plugged in benchmark DAC3HGC, pure love.

I used Rhopoint custom ordered gg102A(custom resistance).
    Vishay melf 1% for L-pad.

    Works like a charm

    110dB 12.4ohms Savant rocks.

We know you’re called as The Wizard, but to litterally make a Savant II after someone ask you and make the change as requested is simply too quick

    Yup, in near future
Wizard class will become Wish-maker class.

    Believe me.
(From games, that class is above wizard and wizard classes)

Well, I dont consider Savant as audiophile or HiFi.
I consider it critical listening. With proper source, it does better work than etymotic as it spreads the stage while keeping Ety type tuning..

    10kHz peak, ety has it
2kHz and 3kHz kurtosis peak, ety has it.
Linear bass and mids, ety have it

But at the same time, slightly more bass and way bigger location tracking, ety doesn't have it.

Savant shouldn't be called as an audiophile gear, but critical listening gear.

Sage is like EX1000 of Sony

Then Sony MDR7550 pro is Savant.

    That's my review

Actually we have been working on this for some time but didnt want to announce it as we didnt want to steal the thunder from the Khan.

Regardless, we have been building inventory, all are hand made (no alloy face plates thus far)

They will be at the NYC Canjam, shown at Hong Kong and Singapore in March
