What are those power tubes? They look like EL32. What amp is that? I see the top cap as an integral part of the amp.

Yes, they are Mullard EL32/VT52 ST but run as input tubes on homemade adapters. Amp is a Raphaelite ES30 which uses 2 pairs of 6SN7 for input.

I have 2 pairs of Mullard EL32. Smoke glass (CV1052) and clear glass (VT52) that I use in Ultimate - either as drivers or power tubes. Both work very well. Had the straight glass but I sold it. That's a shame. Should have kept it.

It is made by a company by the same name. They have some very interesting amps and most of all, they started out as a transformer maker for OEM and it is quite popular in China.
I also have both the Mullard VT52 ST clear glass and CV1052 straight glass as well as the GE Canadian made Marconi VT52 black straight glass. Not that I have heard a lot of GE tubes but this is one that sounds really good. Dont tell @bcowen ......

I know TA-30 is not really a tube amp, but the new Heddphone V2 needs a lot of power, so i have decided to connect the TA 30 with Spring 3 KTE, sheesh what a nice sound in combination with the RFTs

It's been since high school (Dynaco Stereo 70) and College (Jolida EL34 amp) since I have had tubes and I am very happy to return to the them. A modern tube amp + a detailed HP (DT1990) isn't leaving much on the table from dynamics and detail retrieval. Love the glow.
