Quite the savings on a phone with reportedly very good audio.

Worth a try, hopefully will work with both Verizon and Sprint. Dual SIMs might make it the perfect phone. If not, a better DAP than my existing phones.

Not a big hassle... instead of photo make a video.

Play something on your ZS3 at moderate-high volume in a really silent room and one by one bring earpieces of your ZS3 close to the camera mic. Just to show your honesty I'd advise to show demo of another good pair of earphone, using exact same source just to ensure that the issue is genuine. Otherwise it leaves room for a doubt whether balance controls were manipulated to fake the problem.

Make a video.... I faced similar issue with AliExpress... Shared the video with seller. Problem sorted.
