Not quite sure where you read this but it’s not my experience at all, and many others love the H2 / Utopia pairing. H2 works really well with the Utopia and there is absolutely no lack of power, this comparing to my other gear. That’s not to say that others won’t prefer the sound of different amps added to the chain, but it certainly doesn’t lack power for the Utopia, which isn’t particularly difficult to drive anyway. I ran the volume in the lower third of the volume range and there was no lack of dynamics or punch at all. Funny how there’s so much H2 talk in the SP1000 thread.

I second to that. Hugo 2 drives Utopia very well with authority. I simply like the sound signature of HE1kv2 better though.
I also agree that so many Hugo 2 related posts here. I kninda understand this because SP1000 performs really good making it a great rival of Hugo 2.
Don't want this to get lost as I have a question about the SD storage on the AK380 please: Thanks.
Question, I have the ak380 coming in the next week or so. I noticed that you are talking about a 400gb micro sd card. I've never used a card. Would this work in the 380? If so, I'll get one as it seems like a good value. thanks.

Our team has tested the new Sandisk 400GB cards with all of our players including the AK380 and we are officially supporting the 400GB cards going forward. So, to answer your question, yes, the 400GB cards are fully compatible. We recommend you format the cards as FAT32 for best results.
Jason, thanks so much. I greatly appreciate that. I have to learn how to format the card and then download etc., but I'm hoping that it's not too difficult. Just downloaded the connect app on phone so that should help.
Speed depends on your setting. Normal speed takes as long or even longer than listening to the CD with error correction on.
Since I do not have the original ripper, I have no idea how the Ripper2 compared to the original.
Wondering if it does more than ripping, can it catalog as well? I got a really good cd/dvd dual layer ripper underneath my desk I purchased from Frys electronics for 25 bucks.
By saying cataloging, do you mean fetching the metadata from the net and fill all the necessary ID3 tags including album arts? Then yes. But this feature was automatically handled by the connected DAP using WiFi.
The price of Ripper2 is very high. But the build quality is superb. It is really quiet while ripping. Also with the error correction option on, it reports the number of errors and corrections at the end of ripping. Usually the number of errors is zero or 1, which suggests the drive is reliable and vibration is well absorbed.
We are looking into adding Spotify in the future, but do not have an official announcement or timeframe yet. We will post here and on our social media accounts if/when we have more information.

As mentioned here and on our social media pages many, many, many, many, many times before, we are currently prohibited from offering offline mode due to Tidal's agreements with the record labels. Offline mode is only allowed on the official Tidal apps available for download from the Google Play Store or App App Store. The record labels will not allow offline mode on third party Tidal apps.
If and when those agreements between Tidal and the record labels change and we are allowed to offer offline mode, we will offer it.
