I am still recovering from the purchase of the SP1000 and during recovery I will enjoy the SP1000 and SE846 combo.

All the files of the "double display" albums are FLAC 24bit/44,1KHz ripped from the original CDs and all files of the album are stored in one and the same folder as //music/artist name/album name. I do assume its because the player are getting "confused" when indexing albums with special characters in the album names - but this is my random guess...

Don’t mind my criticism, I still like a lot the SP+SE combo and use it almost every day.
If you didn’t already try this (while you’re recovering.. ) try a set of SpinFit eartips, for the SE846 you need the CP800 model. IMHO, best comfort/SQ upgrade for the SE846.

O wow, that was quick.
I fortunately didn’t suggest you to buy a Ferrari..

Jokes aside, the SpinFit helped me postpone ordering the U18 Tzar until Black Friday (waiting for a 20% discount.. fingers crossed).

Yes, I tried that but the uPnP wouldn’t work.. my router kept crashing whenever I enabled it...

uPnP on a router is different to uPnP music streaming services on a NAS.

You should not need to enable it on your router to stream from your NAS to your SP1000.

The leather case doesn’t help.
All leather articles have a tendency to attract and retain moisture from the atmosphere, from precipitation, from perspiration, therefore if you keep your sp1000 constantly in the leather case, it will oxidize faster.

So do you let your SP1000 naked? or do I get a plastic case?

Right now i use the heather case, but I ordered the Dignis one, that is made with alcantara.

I have finally decided to upgrade. But it is going to be final. If sp1000cu get tarnished easily i will go with sp1000ss.

Bro, go for the SS version because none sp1000 cu owner can tell you a definitive truth on that ... when they say it doesn't get tarnished quickly, that means it will. I have the SS and it remains as it is

Yes, I suggest the stainless steel if you aren’t ok with needing to shine it once a month but boy oh boy is the copper a beautiful piece of art.. stainless steel is as well, just something about that copper. I’m really wanting to keep my copper AK380 and possibly will if I can recoup half the cost by reselling some items.

What's wrong with the standard case? Mine is holding up quite well. If it's a matter of esthetics, well then that's a different story. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.

As for SS vs. Cu, I have a 240SS and now the SP1000SS and have had no issues with either one's surface.

Nothing wrong with it at all...I miss my AK240SS...
