Where can I find the the latest SoundCloud XAPK that will work with this player?

I'm running the latest firmware on my SP1000 (v.170CM) and I have the XAPK Installer v.2.2.2 installed.

Firmware update V. 1.70 for SP1000 and SP1000M is now available for the SP2000. This update contains a number of stability improvements as well as bug fixes. Some of the bigger fixes include:

1. Wi-Fi stability improvements when using streaming services, including fix for random disconnection issues
2. BT connection improvements
3. Fix for connectivity issues when using M1 processor-based Macs

The DAC filter issue should also be fixed for both players as well. Please let me know if you have any issues, but both the SP1000 and SP1000M I have here are not showing the issue anymore.

I've just updated my SP1000M to 1.70 and I am happy thrilled to report that the filter issue appears to have been resolved indeed!

Which means that I can now finally use Roon (after I've downgraded to 1.53 before in order to avoid the filter issue). How great is that?!

Many thanks to Astell&Kern for providing product maintenance also to "legacy products" (I am just thinking "sustainability" and how this will prolong the lifespan of devices which is really great) and thanks to you, @JasonNYC, for your patience in responding to user complaints in such a constructive way.

I recently bought a second hand sp1000m and the lefthand physical buttons dont work (play/pause next previous). It is running the latest firmware. Is there a known issue or recurrent problems encountered ? Is there a solution ? (Factory reset ?)

I don’t recall anyone bringing up issues with the physical buttons in the two years I’ve had my SP1000 - a factory reset would probably be good place to start. Good luck!

Anyone ran into SP1000 AMP connection issue?

I have tried 2 Amps (one from my friend and another mine as a secondhand product) and they behave the same on both of our SP1000s.

TL;DR: We need to push a bit harder on them to make sure they connect firmly, only then were we able to successfully connect our SP1000s with AMP. The music playback also stopped abruptly and randomly at any time.

More details: When music was playing, they would randomly disconnect. LEDs turned off abruptly, the music was still playing on SP1000 but no audio on all audio jacks. Seems that they only partially connected, the control signal using USB was fine, but the audio signals stopped syncing. SP1000 thought it's connected to AMP but no audio signal was received by amp.

The only solution we found so far is to press both devices to make them closer to each other horizontally at the same time, then they magically connect again. Couple minutes later they disconnected again. This cycle never ends.

The only suspicious thing is that the 5 golden metal knots on AMP sides are not completely level when I open boxed my AMP. I think they look similar on my friend's AMP. The left and right ones are taller while the middle 3 are lower. They are springy and I could literally press them downwards and they immediately sprang up once I released them.

I guess this might slowly push SP1000 upwards when they connect to each other?

It's weird that this issue was not brought up anywhere in this thread, but I heard that it happened on multiple SP1000 & AMP sets already, someone in Asia told me that this happened with his brand new sp1000 amp and he had to return it.

What type of amp are you using? And what connection method?

Not sure. We actually just sent this question over to the dev team yesterday and are waiting for a reply regarding the SP1000, SP1000M, SE100, SE200 and SP2000.

The newer gen players have a download tab in the services menu where you can download the supported streaming services that are QA team tested with our players. You don't have to connect to a computer, download the apk and copy it to the player. You can download and install directly from thr player itself.

1.70 on SP1k dac filter modes do not work.
It was funny 1.66 fix ok then 1.70 repeat the problem.

Wait fixing.

Comeback to old days fw I found 1.20 is not respond when openning Tidal. 1.31 tidal pop up "Authentication fail".

Did you try to reboot the sp1k after ?
I remember on my Aûe M1S, I needed to reboot the unit right after in order to apply the filter.

EDIT : sorry I didn’t see it was working with 1.66 FW
