Having SP1000M updated and working with Roon right now, Thank You Jason!

Happy to hear!!! But I am having some problem

I update my SP1000m with new firmware and enable the Roon Ready option from settings. But my Roon Core or any of the Roon Remote does not able to discover SP1000m as output device.

Would appreciate your response whether I am doing the right thing or there is some problem?

After you enabled the Roon ready, swipe from screen from top to middle, one of the message boxes is Roon ready mode, press on the message box then you will entered Roon ready mode, then it will become discoverable.

I found the playback sampling rate for Roon Ready Capped at 24/192 and DSD64, not 32/384 and DSD256 that the SP1000M capable of, can’t change in Roon Audio device setting, A&K or Roon applied the resolution limit? Will it relax later in future firmware?

You are correct. There was a discussion about this in this thread when the SP1000 received Roon support in March. The decision was made between Roon and AK to limit playback to 24/192 and DSD64 due to AK players having wi-fi only and not a wired network connection. Higher bitrates could cause buffering or dropouts over wi-fi. Most Roon Ready endpoints are hard-wired with ethernet to the network or at least offer that option.

Play safe is good, that cap can be apply as default, but if the network environment allow high transfer rate, should be optional to user to try it out with precautionary statement.

I don’t think Roon Ready designation would allow that option. Roon Ready must meet a set of benchmarks to give credence to the designation.

Woohoo!!! Finally get to use my SP1000M with Roon. It's working well for me so far moving around the house... Very pleased it finally showed up.

The bug is, if there exist 2 (or more) albums with the same name they will
A) listed under one/same album (see attached fotograph)
B) the same thumbnail will shown in the Album list in all artist (see attached fotograph)

In order to explain the fotographs:
Artist: Mission Jupiter, Album: Talk To Me
Artist: Kat Eaton, Album: Talk To Me

I hope it's possible to fix.

Man as much as i love the Roon support the SQ has taken a hit.Went from smooth and natural with previous fw to grainy especially in the mids.Magic is almost gone with my Stellias.

Mine does not display this problem for same album name from different artists. I have Artist, Album Artist and Year filled in for the tags.

I Tag all my titles in the same way (for centuries), I fotograph an other example, there you can see the thumbnail from an Buddy Guy album (Rhythm&Blueslwith the same name. When I start this album the right thumbnail show up.

I see that under Album Artist you had left it blank. Try filling up with the 2 different artists to see if it resolves. I have mine sorted using Album Artist instead of Artist.

You're absolutely right, the Tag "Album Artist" separates the 2 albums with the same name.
Thanks man you're the only one (since nearly 2 years) who had an workable solution.
I tagged my songs now from the beginning without "Album Artist" and with all Mp3-players (Apple, Sony, I-River, etc.) it worked.
Maybe Astell&Kern could add this too and change the firmware, JasonNYC??, i trust such a high-quality company to do that.

Upgraded my SP1KM today to the new firmware with Roon. Rocking away to Queensrÿche's Mindcrime at the Moore. Sounds awesome!!
