I couldn't hold back when I see what we got after a year of development. I only mean, if a player costs € 200 and the company throws a new device onto the market every six months, then I can't expect to get 6 updates per year (and that over several years), but a + € 2400 player , I expect more and better updates.

Ok thanks. Another head-fier PMed me and said he's having the same issue. So sounds like AK broke USB on the SP1000 with the last update.

I was facing the same challenges with macos catalina and big sur (intel macbook pro). I always managed to get it working as DAC, however, often with connecting/disconnecting again and again until it finally worked. I was only using my SP1k as a DAC with the firmware that was released just before the current one.

Latest Qobuz 5.16.1.2 isn't starting on my SP1000. "Unfortunately, Qobuz has stopped" error. Latest firmware.

If you are using a M1 mac, the USB will not work with Android devices.

I'm pretty sure it will fit and work correctly. I have the ddhifi version and it works on both my SR15 and SP1000M.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the distance between the 2.5mm and 3.5mm ports were the same on the the models, sounds like the distance is the same.

Yeah I’ve been rocking Roon on the SP1000 and it’s been so convenient straight into my amp, using the iPad and iPhone as the music interface. It gives me another alternative Source.

@JasonNYC any update from the engineers as to why my SP1000 crashes and reboots when wifi enabled? All the time. Renders my SP1000 useless for ROON.

I'm trying to use the sp1k tethered to a work cooputer for audio output and I can't seem to get it to work. There is nothing in the settings I can find to enable this. Is it just not possible?

Edit: also, is there any way to BT from a phone to the sp1000? I can only seem to make it work the other way around.

There is a line-out and an USB audio-out function on this player. Both are accessed from the notification bar. Obviously there may be some setup on your computer as well.

AFAIK, there is no bluetooth receive function (never tried though).

Ah. Sorry. I didn't mean LO. I want to go PC -> USB -> Sp1k -> cans

As for the receiver, damn shame, but fair enough
