@JasonNYC any update from the engineers as to why my SP1000 crashes and reboots when wifi enabled? All the time. Renders my SP1000 useless for ROON.
Cheers
Still looking into it. They have not been able to reproduce the issue. As you and I have discussed via PM, I have reproduced the issue on two different SP1000s using a fiber internet connection like you, but no issues when using my backup cable internet connection. Interestingly, my fiber ISP did a firmware update to my fiber modem/wi-fi router a few weeks ago and the connection has been solid ever since with none of the issues I was having before the update.

I will follow up with the team again and see if they have an update.

No driver should be needed.

Any chance you would mind posting a picture of how the settings should ve set to do it? I'm on the latest update of w10 ultimate fwiw. I figured it shouldn't be an issue to make this work but its fighting me. Not even looking for asio or anything. Just wholesale usb audio out for watching trainings

Sorry, I sent you the wrong link to enable USB DAC mode. The link I shared outlines the steps to enable USB Audio out.

For USB DAC mode:

1. Connect the player to your computer
2. Swipe down from the top of the screen. USB Mode icon should be lit.
3. Press USB Mode icon and it should change from Disk to DAC.
4. On Windows 10, click on the volume icon in the bottom right corner.
5. Click to arrow to select a different sound output
6. Select SP1000 as the sound output

Hm... ok, so even when plugged in the disk icon doesn't populate. It spins for a second but doesn't highlight

I recommend trying a different USB port and/or different USB cable.

You also mentioned it was a work computer. They could have security policies in place that prohibit external sound devices from being used.

Usb audio output works with my P6 Pro at least. I will try a shorter cable though. This one is fairly long

I would also recommend trying a soft reset to see if that fixes the issue. While the player is turned on, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds or until the player shuts down. Press the power button again to turn the player on.

Its been driving me mad whilst out and about with the SP1000 where I keep knocking the volume knob. Literally only just realised there is a wheel lock option, I thought it wasnt working as I was still able to adjust the volume via the wheel when it was supposedly locked, until I found out that the lock only takes effect when the screen is off. Happy days, despite my ignorance :)

Ok, so soft reset fixed some of the issues. I can now select the propper setting on the dap its self, but no match up of cable or port has let the computer recognize it as a USB sound device. I do have the amp module on the dap (but not turned on yet). Could that be part of the issue?

Edit: it does work as a disk in disk mode btw
