I updated earlier, happy days as it seems to have also fixed the wifi causing my player to constantly crash! I had to downgrade to fw 1.13 in order to get stable wfi then performed the update OTA. So far so good, (touch wood). Now I need to look into this Roon malarkey and see what all the fuss is about.

I'm happy, and very piss off because it took over 3 years for this to happen, purchased the SP1000 on Sept 18, 2017 with the assurance that this will be Roon ready soon. they dance around this topic for the longest, I moved on to the Hugo2/h2go combo. My point is I wish that A&K was more straight up with their business practices. I waisted a lot of money, and I'm not a happy camper.

At least you got the update. I purchased both a SP1000M and a SR15 based on imminent "Roon Ready" capabilities that were announced in October 2018... Still waiting...

I have a lifetime sub to Roon and I too purchased after I learned that Roon was going to be implemented in our AK players. It has as been a long wait indeed, but im super happy to have it finally available. The implementation is well done and the this update really makes the AK products truly killer.

I was thinking of picking this cable up to connect my player directly to my Flux FA-12 and use iPad or iPhone to use Roon, does anyone have any experience with this cable? Seem like a great price and it has come down in price considerable since I first looked at it a while back. The AK branded one though im sure a much better cable and connector was like well over a thousand dollars.

Trying Roon. I have the SP1000 connected as an end point to Roon on my MBP. I notice that DSD is being down sampled to 2.8MHz. Anyone else getting this?

ok I spoke too soon....even with fw 1.57 my SP1k is crashing when the wifi is enabled.
