Next firmware update is scheduled for around March 16, but the SE100 and KANN CUBE firmware updates originally scheduled for this week have been bumped to next week which may push the SP1000 and SP2000 firmware updates a week. Just waiting for a confirmed release date before sharing more info.

The updates for Kann and SE100 are out. Looks like minor changes only:

Added option to save favorite tracks
- Added bookmark feature in folder view
- Added AK Connect Speaker selection on the Home screen
- Added year/name sorting capabilities in the Artist-album menu
- Added option-specific search function in searchMQS, DSD, Album, Artist)
- Added resume function
- Added ability to change listed order of playlists
- Added option to select DAC Filter
- Operational stability improvements

sp1000/1000m will be similar to the above as they don't have the DAC filter switching and Album artists sorting yet.

Looks like a great player, I’m just trying to understand app compatibility. How long would an app like Tidal continue to function on this player. Do you reach a point in time where you are anchored to a legacy version of an app?

I’d imagine with the android based players that that would be the case as they are anchored to an android version.

This one isn’t android based on my understanding so I’m wondering about apps maintaining functionality and what the long term expectation is. It’s a great looking player, but I do a lot of streaming - so my one concern on this player is it was launched a few years back now.

Only SP1000 and SP2000 have been certified. There are plans to bring to other players, but no word on which other players will receive Roon Ready support at this time.
