@JasonNYC
is deezer hifi possible on ak daps, as i have a hifi account but in deezer in the ak player i see only standard playback

if i install deezer apk through open services will it playback my hifi subscription in high quality or not
If you install the Android Deezer app via Open App, you can definitely play hifi quality. I thought the option was in the embedded AK app also. Let me check.

You have to have a Premium Deezer account in order to use the embedded app on AK players, which is the top tier.
i do have a premium account, it s works on the apk while it does not on the embedded one. I have the highest tier suspicion , r u getting HQ playback using the embedded app

Hi ,
I would like to connect my SP1000 via USB to an external t+a DAC8 DSD. I tried it with several OTG cables but had no success. Are there any settings in the SP1000 that I don’t see?
Any help is appreciated!
I wanted to compare the SP1000 with my ARIES G1 together with the DAC 8
Michael
Have you turned on "external usb" from the menu bar after you connect the usb cable?

When you connect via USB to the SP1000 with an OTG cable, swipe down from the top of the screen. You should see the External USB icon lit gray. Press on the External USB icon to enable the connection.

Hi Jason ,
thank you for your help. When I connect the OTG cable to the SP1000 the USB icon changes to grey. When I tap on this, it begins to turn but then changes to black again...on your photo I see USB storage under the USB icon..this is not the case on my player?
Regards,
Michael

I would recommend doing a soft reset, then trying again. To perform a soft reset - press and hold the power button down for 10 - 15 seconds until the player turns itself off. Press the power button again to restart it.

Hello, does anyone have any info on if the sp1000 will have a price break once the sp2000 is released?

The soft reset didn’t change the problem..the USB icon changes to grey if the USB cable is in the player but I can’t see USB storage..

How are you connecting the SP1000 to your DAC8 DSD? I know you are using an OTG cable, but is it the one your DAC8 DSD says to use? What input are you connecting it to on the DAC8 DSD?

I connect the SP1000 with a short OTG cable from ifi audio and this cable is connected with a oyaide Continental USB cable to the DAC 8...so I use the USB input from the DAC8...

The USB input is designed to connect to a computer. Computer connections to an external DAC do not use OTG cables and Windows based computers require a driver to be installed. I would guess your problem is caused buy the DAC8 rather than the SP1000. You might have better luck checking with T+A about how connect an Android based DAP.

Looks like the SP1000 is detecting the USB device, but it does not get the right information to know what to do with it. Like if the Windows driver was missing.
