What is the maximum SD card it can take as thinking of getting one of these for my Mojo and Hugo 2.

Scanning a 1TB card now. Working but taking a loonnggg time.

Update i 1TB loaded on UAPP but seems to be too much for this little guy to handle. I'm barely able to navigate the UI now. Hmm.

Update ii: 1TB works fine on native Sony app, on UAPP less so.

Update iii: Hiby app working very nicely. The smoothest with 1TB full of music. Gets my recommendation.

yeah uapp is no good on mine either. constant lock ups and crashes

Walkman App works great as a transport too It recognised my Schiit Yggdrasil soon as I plugged it in

Mine also sounds excellent and much better than the A55 via the headphone out.

UAPP does some background work after scanning. Maybe try leaving it open for while. Worth a try but not sure it will help?

I forgot to add. Use the "force non-scoped storage" option under library settings (and reset/rescan library).

Very nice feature indeed. Although also fantastic to be able to run UAPP on such a small device with Mojo2. Definitely beats Hiby RS2 as a transport in terms of usability.

How does it compare to rs2 sound quality wise as a stand alone dap with iems ?

Just compared. As standalone DAP with IE900 and IE100, RS2 is better in every respect - better control, more impactful, greater details, more engaging timbre, much higher output. The RS2 also has an excellent line out which elevates it significantly when paired with an amp. The only thing the Sony does which is better is the UI. Without wishing to sound blunt, as a standalone unit, the A306 doesn't sound all that different to a phone output. If I were to use this as a standalone, I'd far use a dongle like the Questyle M15 or Lotoo s2.

But that said, the Sony is fantastic as transport! The HiBy app works really beautifully.

As stand alone, I too prefer the RS2 as well. The RS2 is more organic, more enjoyable to listen to. The A306 is more flat, clean, clinical sounding.

Sony sell them officially in Japan. Both silicon case and flip cover. You can import them

Hi my blue one has arrived, looks bloody lovely and feels great.




I've got a friend bringing back hopefully a flip top official case from Japan at the end of the week. Then I'll choose which one to have but love this. Very good quality and definitely worth it regards GJ

Does the case come with a screen protector? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for a screen protector?

MITER leather type ones on Amazon, I've got one in blue. Does the trick perfectly for me.
