Yes this might force me to get a apple computer, although a linux based system is a possibility. I need a computer that will be easy for my mother to use. Although sadly, I don't think she will be able to work any computer, but I need to try.

The new Mac OS basically works like a phone, so maybe your mother would like that.

The good news is I just got a ship notice today - order 312xx. I suspect this was from the first batch of boards that were waiting on the chassis to arrive. My order went in soon after they were marked backordered with an estimated end of June delivery date. The bad news is I will be away on a business trip when it arrives next week so I have to figure out a way to hide it from the wife

Order one, then when it arrives at your house, and your wife asks about it, play it off as though you had not said that. Insist that you only remember her saying to go ahead with the purchase

So, my order number is 323xx. I'm hoping that other non-Yggy orders are included in the order numbers?
 
Otherwise, if they're going in batches of 250, mine's going to be arriving a lot later than late-June!

I assume that all kind of orders are included in the orders numbers. My order number is 310xx and I didn't receive any ship notice until now... Shiit support told me 2 weeks ago that it should ship end of June / beginning of July.
 
Strange that an order number starting with 312xx is already on the way.

It could be a case of different voltage models being batched together...?? They did say they were doing that to prevent errors of plugging a 115V model into a 230V power supply and letting the magic smoke get out.

That's true. Mine is 115v (US)
