<--in that hopefully-by-thursday-but-probably-later group, also waiting on a ragnarok in an earlier order, trying to be mad, but i can't be. The pictures are fun and holy carp that must be consuming a ton of power. I always enjoy a peek into an operation. I can't believe how many orders went in on that first day

I wonder how much power is used when those racks are all filled with Ragnaroks during burn-in

The Rags use 75 watts  "at rest".

One final question from me regarding the Rag / Ygg combo. I plan on connecting the Ygg to the Rag with balanced XLR cables. Currently my HD800s are single ended. Is it significantly recommended to use a balanced headphone input over SE for greater fidelity or is the only perceivable difference the level of volume?

With this setup balanced 800's will be considerably better than SE.

Much of the 'magic' gets lost with SE on The Rok.

Looks like a Fri or Mon ship date for me.

Would a well placed bomb in Whocaresisstan move me up a bit? Should I be rewiring the mancave for 220v?

Hi Alex,
How many Yggys in a burn in batch?
Thanks

Answered by question 2 last sentences:
So, we run 20 115v Yggdrasils and then 5 230v Yggdrasils in separate batches.
or this one:
30779 - 3083x is actually 25 115v Yggdrasils, while 30850 - 3089x on the 230v side is only 5 units.

So 20 or 25?? so some where in the neighborhood of 600-750 Watts at idle for Yggy... I r ME not EE so some EE correct me if I r wrong.

I am lost in the beauty of what Gungnir + Lyr + Siemens (E288CC) + HE-500 plus vintage Decca Sibelius is doing at the moment. I'm sorry. I haven't got round to the Yggy stress yet. I will.

I believe they've already said they would, not sure on an estimated time but I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening within the next 6 months.

Yggy tech? It can't be the next level baller technology can it?  (The no samples unchanged yada yada part). If so my interested is certainly sparked, can someone confirm this man isn't giving my false hope and refer me to a specific statement or something?
Thanks, that would be very helpful
