According to the link below, "yes, the old version has already silver on its cable but MK2 has added more silver on its components. from my observation, MK2 has better treble extension but retained the overall sound sig and physical properties of the old one . i cant say if this an upgrade or im accurate with my observation on sonic quality. i am comparing mk2 with only less than hour of burn in. vsonic also told me that with the new cable it will lessen the sibilance issue."

Yes, I'm anxious to see if a couple of additional strands of silver in the cable has made the "old" GR07 into a worthy flagship!!!!!!
