Hi folks from a longtime lurker from near Houston Texas USA who finally decided to set up an account and post. I am a drummer and music lover who is a bit older now but still love my jams. My current main setup is vinyl-based: Linn LP-12, Naim NAP 150, NAC 112 and Stageline phono preamp, Martin-Logan Aerius speakers, and pair of Sennheiser HD 650s powered by a Bellari HA540 amp. Prior to my 650s I had a pair of old school Stax Lambdas powered by an SRD-007 amp.

I love my 650s and find them to be near-perfect in sound reproduction, but lately have had the itch to find a pair with just a tad more bass. Nothing heavy, basshead jarring stuff, just a bit more presence, with the same mids and high end. I have a pair of HD 280s I use for when I practice, but find the highs and mids a bit lacking in comparison to the 650s. I recently got a pair of HD 599s for my computer listening station, and like the slight midbass boost, but still no quite "there." My maximum I would go is $600-700, but would prefer to stay closer to $300-400. Any suggestions welcome and thanks for having me on here!

Hi there, I'm surprised my nickname was still available from Germany, 23y/o as of this year.
Got into the hobby simply due to being into music, and from my parents making the mistake of gifting me an HD598 a good while ago. I've since gotten my hands on a fair few budget, or up to mid-fi, pairs of headphones & IEMs alike, aswell as some speakers from a local store in the next city over.

Music-wise I'm sitting on a library of what can be summed up as mostly metal/hardcore with some hip hop and other more or less related genres sprinkled in, large amounts of which arguably don't come close to pushing the limits of my gear, but nevertheless my upgrades so far continue to make things more pleasant on the ears!
I'd link my lastfm, although I'm not entirely sure if that falls under self-promo in some way, so let's try to not get banned on day 1 :D

I only started branching out more in the last few years, in terms of genres & gear that is, but I'm currently involved in collecting dubious amounts of myspace -core releases and looking into Thieaudio's IEM lineup, namely the Oracle MKI & Hype 2, which are currently also my main daily drivers, besides speakers.
So, if you wanna talk 0iq music, hmu :)

Ohai, just started this hobby after an officemate lent me her IEM for better hearing convo recording a couple of months ago and... Got me interested with it and asked how much she bought it and was shocked at its price, not including a portable DAC/Amp yet.

Bought a few ultra budget ones: KZ ZSN Pro 2, Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red, MD Chu 2 DSP, TruthEar GATe, KZ Castor (Enhanced Bass), KBEar Rosefinch.

Am really enjoying watching reviews and unbox vids. Hopefully, i can do too, now that will raise my collection for 50-100 USD ones come next month. Thanks for having me.

Hi, my name is Niels and I have recently submerged myself in the world of headphones. I currently own a couple of ZMF Headphones (Auteur Classic, Bokeh, Atrium Open and Caldera), a Focal Clear, and amps/dacs from both ZMF (Homage) and Schiit (Lyr, Jotunheim, Lokius, and Bifrost. On the road, I mostly listen to my Focal Bathys

Hello Niels! How do you like your Atrium Open with the Homage, do they pair good?
I own an Atrium Open and Woo WA7 tube amp, but I don’t have a good solid state amp. So I was thinking if the experience worth 1000+ usd

Hello!

I'm new to the forum but have been using it for research. I hope to learn more about audio particularities and expand my current collection from IEMs into full size headphones.

I'm still figuring out navigation, but I hope to be able to find the place to ask the more technical questions I have.
