Hello guys, I'm an newbie from Belgium. I own a LCDi4 and a hugo 2. Is it weird that I can't tell than much difference between the cipher and the h2? I had a QP2R previously, and it seemed to me like the soundstage was so much better than the H2. Sadly the ergonomy of the QP2R is a complete mess and it broke by overheating -_-

Hey! Long-time lurker who finally decided to register after getting back into the head-fi hobby after a good few years away. Currently enjoying the Tin T2 Plus and Tanchjim Tanyas through a Topping DX7 Pro, with a pair of Lypertek Tevi for exercise/on the go listening.

Hello!

I was disinterested in headphones for a long time (as in decades) and viewed them as a necessary evil when listening to music nobody else wanted to hear. I found myself listening to music less or as just background to other activities. I always enjoyed throwing on an album, as in vinyl LP, and listening with the liner notes and lyrics in hand. I got to know and savor my favorite artists. I wanted to go there again.

I stumbled upon Drop (then MassDrop) and the excitement behind the HD 6XX offering. Taking a leap of faith, I pre-ordered a pair based upon reviews & countless hours reading about the Sennheiser 600/650 models. I still had the feeling of doubt that I could really enjoy headphones, so wanted to limit the funds spent. When they arrived, I hooked them up to the headphone jack of an integrated amp and was surprised - it sounded great! I then purchased a Topping DX3 Pro and had yet another uptick in quality. I found myself listening to headphones 75+% of the time. I was sold!

Thanks to the enthusiasm and shared knowledge of specialty forums, such as Head-Fi, I am as fired up and back into music as I ever was! A Schiit Valhalla 2 is on its way. The HD 6XX not only brought me back to involved music listening, but also my first foray into the world of tubes. You can teach an old dog new tricks!
