Hi All,

I'm Kev from Australia, been a lurker on and off for years but finally decided to take the plunge and register.

I was into Car Audio and was part of MEA, then upgraded to home audio where I joined stereo.net.au, and now I guess as I've got less space to play with, I'm part of you guys here!

Hope to learn lots here!

Been lurking here for a long time, but finally taking the plunge and joining.  So much more to learn, and this seems like the place to do it.

Hi, my name is Austin. I am new to the "good" headphone arena. Recently bought a NAD VISO HP50 and loved the sound but not the fit. Therefore, I am looking to part my HP50. I am trying my hands on the Oppo PM-3 and hope that would give me better comfort, especially I am always traveling and wears glasses.

Hi!
Just joined as I'm starting to get into this.  I had a pair of iGrados for a few years that I just loved, but that thin cable finally just gave out, so I bought a pair of SR325e that I was able to demo at the local store, and they sound great.  I typically am listening to digital content, as I only have about 100 records and not enough time to be in my living room to listen to them.  I can notice differences in quality between the different devices I use for listening (HP z620, MacBook Air, iPhone 5s, iPod Classic 6.5), but listening on the MB Air I can't tell any difference between 256kbps AAC, 44/16 Apple Lossless, and 96/24 FLAC.
I'm interested in portable DAC/Amps like the ADL x1 or Sony PHA-1A, etc which could work with any of my devices.  I've also got some interest in other hi-res players like pono, or sony or fiio, or ak, but I'm not sure I want to give up the good UI experience I have with my current devices for a UI of unknown quality.
Anyhow, looking forward to any advice anyone can dish up and to learning more about high quality portable audio.

Thanks!

Dana

Hi,
The best pair of headphones I've ever owned is the md7506's. I'm a vinyl collector and I've been doing more headphone listening recently, so I'm exploring higher quality models. Thanks to all of you for providing this vast body of reference.
