To my ears they sounded the same despite the 4th order crossover and steel tubing.

And yes! Definitely game ending. The Roxannes are my personal endgame and the only way to move forward is to go full custom.

I've checked with them, they DO NOT reshell full metal roxanne 2. Only the older universals v1.

Yeah, and im disappointed. My roxanne 2s are great, but the back plate is worrying. Its quite troubling to find the poor build quality with no saving grace of taking the whole unit and reshelling it.
