How can you triangulate that?

I'm a big fan of the looks also (well the 555 and 595 at least).

The 490 was a complete POS, it went "boom! boom! boom!" and that was about it. The 495 is sorta like a baby 580, I own one and it ain't bad at all. The 590 isn't all that bad except for the treble which hurts my ears and some other minor stuff. If the 595 is a big improvement over its predecessor like the 495 was over the 490, it'll be one heck of a good headphone. That's how I figure it anyways, but I could be wrong....

Hopefully they look as good on the head as they look in their vanity shot. With all these new cans from Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic, it looks like the headphone community is seeing some real activity. I want to hear these.

Sleek, modern, stylish, and futuristic are words I'd use to describe these new pics. The grill on the first pic looks kinda cheap, but the 'phone still looks okay. I don't even know how anyone could think these cans look ugly. These people need to elaborate more on why they have that opinion and then maybe I'll be able to see where they're coming from.

I dunno how many times I've seen people on the internet do this, especially when insulting something/someone. It's THEY'RE, not there.

Actually, the frequency range for the HD 595 is 12 - 38,500 Hz, so it's fairly similar to the HD 590 in this regard. (See this page for the 595's specs.)

There are some minor differences, though. Sound pressure for the 595 at 1 kHz is 104 dB (97 dB for the 590), and THD = <0.2% (<0.1% for the 590).

Also, the 595 comes with something that Sennheiser calls "a nifty headphone holder with leatherette nesting bow - the perfect 'home' for your HD 595". There appears to be a photo of it about 2/3rds of the way down this page. (Anybody speak/read Russian here?)
