100+ Head-Fier
First thing first, I love the Grado sound a lot for the music I listen to mostly (rock, classic rock, indie rock, soft rock). I also love large soundstage (AD700, K7xx) as well. While I do like my AKG K7xx for their wide soundstage, I am finding them boring and not engaging. The soundstage, to me, seems too "left and right" for some reason. While the Grado's soundstage are more intimate, I find the soundstage to have better coverage.
At this point I am looking for improved sound quality all around and I am not sure if I should jump up to an improved Grado headphone or consider something different that lands somewhere in the middle of the Grado and AKG lines.
I am currently considering the following Grado (I am willing to buy used):
Grado RS1
Grado RS2
Grado PS1000e (if I can find used)
What other brands would you recommend that I consider? My gear is below.
Headphones
Grado SR325i
AKG K7xx Massdrop Edition
Beyerdynamic DT770 Premium (600 ohms)
Audio Technica AD700
Amps and Dacs
Little Dot I+
Little Dot MK III
Dacmini CX
Woo Audio WA7 or WA6 (Plan on purchasing very soon)
