New FiiO M11S Player with dual ES9038Q2M DACs, 670mW output power and 14 hours of battery life

I tried again tonight, and I can confirm that with the following players:
- FiiO music;
- UAPP;
- foobar2000;
- Musicolet;
- Poweramp;

the first second will skip when a song is played from a "stop". That is to say that when I read the track #1 directly, the first second will skip, BUT if I play the same track #1 immediately after having played a few seconds from track #2, the first second will be played and the whole album will play smoothly.

This with Flac or Wave files.

I'm not much of an audiophile, I can't believe that this issue is not more reported?

Anyway, it looks like I will be getting a replacement, but if the replacement suffers the same issue...

If @FiiO was unable to reproduce the above mentioned error of stuttering songs, then I believe this could be related to the playback cache. The system accumulates data until it becomes heavy enough to read and then the failure occurs.

Dear friend,

If you are convenient,
Please send the certain music files and the log files to support@fiio.com to us for check. Thanks in advance!
Extract a LOG file
For special software issues, please extract a LOG file under the root directory, unzip and copy it to the homepage. And then send it to us for analysis.
Please go to " Settings ->About device" , and continually tap “Model number", until the prompt "Have save output log to built-in storage" appears.
Then please wait for about 20 seconds, and go to player's internal storage, then send the folder "fiio_log " to us and inform us the time of the problem for further analysis.

Best regards

Thank you for your message. I have sent a LOG file to your colleague, along with some audio files I'm encountering issues with, but your colleague Lee answered to me that since he managed to hear the files without the first second skipping (using the player as a USB DAC), "there is no problem".

Ouch.. looks like I completely got the AirPlay "feature" wrong.

I was very much looking forward to being able to stream music to my B&W Zeppelin Air (2nd gen with airplay but no regular wifi or bluetooth yet)

now it looks like the Fiio can only work as an airplay receiver for your iPhone and stuff?

Is there any application that would enable streaming as a source?

Dear friend,

We will forward the log files to the engineer for check as well. We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime!

Best regards

Currently studying MusicBee to try and sort through the gigantic mess that is my music "library" on my computer.
While browsing through the options of the embedded player, I stumbled over these options.

There's this curious option "Play some silence at startup for hardware synchronisation"...

Could it be, @FiiO , that the M11s has this feature "embedded" in some way?

Just ordered one myself.. got a nice deal.

Looking forward to testing this too.

if it's really a cache problem, then it shouldn't occur right away.

Did everyone here notice the issue right from the start?
Yup right off the bat. Curiously has anyone tried in Spotify? At least we can pinpoint if it's a local file thing

That's a very weird answer if USB DAC is his ONLY test case. Mine has the initial stutter on both wired and BT but I actually haven't tried in DAC mode
