I need to earpads for my ATH-A500 and would like to know where to get them. I would like the A900 earpads instead if possible as they seem to last much longer. So where can I get them.
I am also interested in knowing this answer. I have had ATH-A500s for 5 years or so and the ear pad outer layer is ripped and wearing off just from so much use.
I only see replacement pads for A700 and A900 phones... Will these work on the A500?
I would suggest this to anyone looking for replacement pads for any Audio-Technica headphone. After seeing the ridiculous prices on AudioCubes2, I called AT's parts department and was able to get A500 replacement pads for $11.16 shipped. Much cheaper than any pads on AudioCubes2 and even cheaper than the JVC Harx 700 pads.
EDIT: I received the pads directly from Audio-Technica USA a few days ago, and finally had a chance to put them on today. They are exactly like the original pads. They were fairly easy to put on the headphones, and I feel that they have increased the bass response of my cans by a good bit.
I emailed Audio Technica parts department of their distribution site in Ohio. Direct email to PARTS@ATUS.COM requesting new ear pads (for the ATH-A500). I was replied to within 1 business day. Cost was $7.16 plus postage. They accept credit card and paypal.
