I really hope CFA bring a new comet out. I loved my pair but had to send them back due to a fault and they couldn’t give me a replacement as no more stock. It’s a great iem at the price point.
Campfire has opened up a B-Stock store and they have several harder to get models if you're okay with a refurb/return/b-stock of the Comet.

The B-stock store has been open for a couple of years and where they post their Black Friday deals.

They had been out of stock for a while while the moved from the warehousedeals domain to the alo domain. They also added a whole bunch of other models they previously didn't resell (Andro, Solaris etc.). Definitely worth checking out.

After a long time with the atlas and not using them i've gotten to a conclusion that they heavily (pun intended) depend on the bias your ear has at a given time. After listening to a bass heavy iem such as the nemesis for a day i got bored with it and decided to give the atlas for a swing (its been months since i last enjoyed them) and to my surprise they sound really sweet and smooth still as bassy as ever but not as disjointed as i heard prior to binging the nemesis. Honestly it baffles me that it took me this long to realize it! Needless to say, my love for atlas has come back around and thoughts of selling them have all gone good stuff indeed. It also got me curious what Ken Ball was listening to when tuning these, they require such a bass heavy attenuated ear to sound good.

Well said brother. They are a terrific IEM. Almost a year and a half now since I’ve had mine and I use them everyday on my train ride into work. :)

That's why we (at least I tell myself) can't settle with having just 1 iem\headphone. We need several to use in a rotation. I tend to listen to my hifiman re400 or etymotic er4 in between rotations to kind of "reset" my ears. It would be nice (to my wallet especially) if we could find that one iem to rule them all.

Yes. Despite buying and loving some Fostex TH900 mk 2 (primary listening), the Atlas are my go to iem still for massive bass tuning plus great fidelity still excellent detail retrieval despite massive bass tuning. Actually prefer Atlas at low volume to Fostex. Granted they’re different beasts. Hats off to Ken Ball and crew!

I love the Atlas almost as much as any of the CA Solaris. I don't think it performs as well as other TOTL IEMs, but I keep returning for the specific bass tuning. I don't currently use them as much simply because the weight is too much to stayed in comfortably when I move at all. My long term plan is to convert them to CIEMs and experiment with the tips interior shape to preserve as much of the stock EQ (given how the Equinox and Solstice have performed, I'd rather be able to tune CA to preserve the good CA tunings even if I have to go more boutique in the long run).

Agree 100% with your synopsis because I do exactly the same practice. In fact, this thread inspired me to pull the Atlas out again for a thorough bass session yesterday. So much fun!

I would love to see what you do on the CIEM project.

Enjoying my Atlas today, I was thinking of selling with the driver flex issues, most times everything sounds compressed because of it.

I just happened to try some unknown tips and its great, hardly any driver flex unless I really shove them in my ears hard, great fit in my ear and a great sound, bass heavy to a point where it feels like the top of my head will be blown off but I've adjusted to it.

A shout out to all the bass heads out there. :-)

I use the finals on mine, not the best sounding but it offers the best compromise between sound and comfort

Thank you for the comment. Finals for me are are total driver-flex nightmare, could be my ears or perhaps my Atlas is more sensitive to flex.

Finals that came with this are on my Fiio FH7, they work great on that iem for me.
