After a while where I listened to dx50 + ES10 or else... I came back to my ESW11LTD + HIFIet Rig.

God this sounds good. Did mention how much I love the ESW11?

Did anybody have a chance to evaluate ESW11LTD and W1000X against each other ?

I owned both but not at same time.
The esw11 is of course a closer soundstage but not smaller, it still sounds large.
They are not so comparable except that they have a alure to the mids but remember the esw11 is using newest driver and has a suppleness in mids..

I am also a previous owner of the W1000X. It was my first wooden headphone that ignited my love for the W-series. Now my memory is bad but I will give it a try anyway. I will say the W1000X is probably closer to the ESW11LTD in terms of sound signature than the W3000ANV. Especially the mids.

But I think the ESW11LTD is a step ahead in every department compared to the W1000X. Especially the difference in quality of the bass and treble department. Again do not put too much weight to it.

Selling my W3000ANV. The ESW11LTD is just that good for me!

Yes, the ESW11 is quite underrated here even though it is the best portable in the sub 500€ price range IMO. Ok, might be because its not available everywhere.
Just the Isolation is a little bit on the average side for metro commuting everyday.

esw11ltd is still my main headphone. Just tried them with theorem + glacier combo and the sound is absolutely amazing, It really gives details and space that i have not heard before. For now i am using it with a2p tur06 and i am very happy with this set up and very recommended if you like analog tube sound. The mid "energy" of this headphone is something that i can not find in any other headphone.. so addictive

I can find a few of them if anybody wants to buy. I can go through the used headphones for sale inventory of the Japanese retail stores.

I'm going to get a pair of these some day, just difficult to justify when I have recently picked up a pair of used ES10 for 21,000 and another pair of new ES10 for 32,500, providing ridiculously good value for both my wife and I…I absolutely LOVE the ES10, and I know the ESW11 will be even better.

Of course the ESW11LTD just went on sale at Yodobashi for ¥49,800.

I feel I need my es10 back now just to have all the best "flavors" as this is one of the best.
I find it actuallly fun to change cans and not just stick with one :)

Did anybody have these headphones recabled with a much better cable than the flimsy looking stock cable ? And if so, did bass get better, more tight ? Did the detailing in mids get better too ?

Do you have any thoughts on why this might improve the sound?.

I'll buy the ES10 again too =).

I know the ESW11 will be even better.

You shouldn't be so sure of that. Some people like the ES10 much more than the ESW11LTD .
