I2s has 4 signals: data, bit clock, left-right clock and word clock. The idea with Kingwa's dacs is to ignore the incoming signal's timing and to redo it from scratch. It makes wonder with inferior sources. The r2r 11 is the only dac of hid i know of that still reclocks. Using an externaly clocked di20he on its rca spdif input lead to awesome perf level.

That one is used for Chord TT2.

I only have ACSS/spdif and i2s as options, because the R8HEMK2 will occupy the AES

(Im interested in agd non-r2r. Not buying r2r again)

D77 vs D28

Is it correct that the D28 does not have clock function in the i2s input? - from the manual it seems so.

However the D77 is like any other of the models with i2s? - it has MCLK.

My main purpose is to connect D28 with i2s to di20he and be able to use the clock source from di20he.

The warm setting/pins are attractive. If they have a stronger/warmer mid than TT2(for Arya) I will have to look for another excuse, I mean headphone…for TT2

Meanwhile modding the iFi Elite with 2.5 tellurium dc connector and mundorf/10%…for TT2

Kingwa just released a pure NOS version of the r28 (no OS mode). For NOS fans and optimized for that purpose, which likely implies HW differences in filtering.

Im curious to hear how much the HE-9 LE will benefit from a new power conditioner...not to mention the whole system ofcourse. So I went for Torus TOT MAX thinking it has the lowest impact on the stereo image in terms of filtering "too much"

Knowing I have around 1800WATTS and only 4 outlets makes me wonder whats the best possible way to connec

I have listed all devices of total meaning I will have a power strip connected: Wireworld Matrix. with 6 outlets, and 3 on the Torus TOT will be available.

Dont underestimate TT2 because it have the worlds ugliest powersupply. It will challange the AGD with iFi Elite. Im not joking, people say they don't hear the difference on psu for chords, but the elite has made it so mature in sound, soo serious and wiped all the charm away from it. It is frightening how a psu can change the character so much. Chord TT2 is amazing, also expensive

Im just really curious about AGD non-R2R when I experienced the R2R, how great it is......On the TT2 I miss a little more fuller/warmer mids, hoping the D28 could do this by chaning the pins/jumpers on the board....Im not saying Im hoping it will beat the TT2 overall, just for the Arya.

I am expecting to try the Meze Elite again one more time when my system is ready. Hopefully it will settle with TT2 when I have funds.

@FredA You also mentioned a planar model you liked, I forgot the name but it sure looked interesting. It was very balanced I recall you say, which one was it?

(EDIT: WIth all honesty I forgot the TT2 were connected to DI20HE which is connected to masterclock.....UPS!)

Was the Music Master E1000 ( not the more expensive E1000s). From Ali.

Still recommend them but had to repair a cosmetic issue. The wooden shells have shrunk a bit during winter which warped the grills. I removed them and and sanded some material off the edge (paint, basically). Put them back on and now they are fine. They are very solid otherwise and feature a pair of drivers that are worth over 500usd. They are indeed very well balanced with decent speed and great detail level and staging. I still enjoy them a lot.

Hah, you didn't know what I meant. I mean I guess the Chord will beat most chipdacs with the right input. I get the impression Chord USB is not very good.

These are the connectors that were found on the original he6. Sort of a coaxial connector.

yeah horrible usb implementation. Also one of the reason I bought the reclocker/Ideon if I were to separate the TT2 from AGD chain. But right now I like coax/di20he even better than both usb and optical from the Matrix SPDIF2.
