yes, while playing music, so that I could hear which wire positions solved the interference.
Introduced 2 leaves of packing foam 3mm thick each in-between the 3 wires (on both sides). The crackling noise has disappeared..

Many thanks for your guidance!

Hi, I saw the release announcement of audio-gd R27RE, and might be interested on owning one.

The other candidate I am also considering is Questyle CMA Fifteen (similar price range), which I already demoed.

I have never tried any audio-gd product, so, I need your wisdom on these, before deciding on what to order

1. How is Audio-gd R27 tonality sounds like? (I assume R27, R27HE, and R27RE will share similar house tuning, but with different level of refinement)

Comparison with any familiar product from questyle (cma12m, cma15), burson (conductor, soloist), chord (qutest, hugo tt) or schiit (yggy, bf) will be very helpful as reference

EDIT: For this point just saw Currawong's very well made review in YT.

2. How's the synergy if I pair with my current headphone (Verite, HD650, Arya Stealth)?

3. Is there anything I need to know/prepare/expect/tweak to optimize the performance of an audio-gd product? Especially stuff that are unique to audio-gd lineup.

Thank you very much 🙏

2. A set with a certain warmth is my preference. The hd650 should
be very good.

3. A good power cable is mandatory. On a budget, go with a Furukawa.

To maximise performance, get an external clock.

They sound best after being on for a few hours. Down the track, consider a good transport/streamer with I2S output for use with it.

If you're going to use a power cable as a noise filter, it should be at least about 1.5m or 5-6ft long to actually filter HF noise. Or, you could just get a power board with noise filtering. I haven't tried one, but I was thinking of building one of these into a cable.

If I want neutral and a bit ethereal sound I reach for Arya Stealth.. for a bit warmer and punchy sound I use Focal Stellia.. Both sound great..

DI20HE(EC) -> R8HE MK2(EC) -> HE9 MK2

I ordered one of these ( 160W, 230V, 19V ), to power a Dell Audio PC. I'm using this one now: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32878072...2.1640613639&_gac=1.186093622.1661837132.null
Purchased here:

Hopefully it will give a significant increase in sound quality :vulcan: .

I had a blast again listening to these on my r7he mkii/he9 mkii combo, it is a perfect match. I got mine for about 1300usd... Copy the link in the url field... Music Master E1000.

What’s the difference between the R7HE 2020 and the MK2 version? There’s a tempting used unit for sale…
The HE units have regenerative PSUs so better and more heavy duty power supply.

Sorry, as far as I know, the MK2 is a cost reduced version (some robotic soldering) but the sound quality may have improved over the previous generation.

I'm sure Fred and Dacladder will have more concrete info.

IThanks, I know that, but i’m asking about the differences between the 2020 and the mk2 versions of the R7HE: as far as I understand there’s an original 2020, a 2021 and a mk2 version
The mkii has better digital psus, independent galvanic isolation on hdmi and usb plus a clock input. The hdmi isolator can be added on the 2020. A clock input too if you send it to Magna Hifi.
