Hey guys, just find my lcd 3F best headphones I own...( better than T1. stax 009,)for enjoyable listening
but the problem is the heavy weight which I can't wear them for long time,
so if there is any mod ?
and  I'm thinking to remove that wood and the metal behind the driver .

Wouldn't reccomend that as it would likely affect SQ.

Also you'll likely get used to the weight. Had mine for almost a year now and hardly notice the weight anymore. However at first it did hurt a bit, especially on the top of my head. Like other things the human body can get used to just about anything!

My new LCD3 arrives tomorrow the anticipation is killing me

I'd love to hear how it stacks up against the two German flagships you have. Please share if or when you have the time to compare their sounds

I just bought the LCD3 and can't wait till they show up.

You will absolutely love them. I did not see in your source list a DAC? Are you primarily using the BDP and the MK2 for playback?

As well as BDP and MK2

Meier Daccord (for simplicity I list this with the Meier Classic as the Meier stack)

Dragonfly via Mac+Amarra 3.02

I've lately been using the AK 100ll as well

That's great. Are you planning to use your LCD3s with BDP and AK100? Just curious to know what you are gonna pair it with

Looking to upgrade from my hd650's currently using a RSA Apache as a amp (but thinking about trying a tube amp)  anyone using the Apache for their LCD 3's?  Impressions?  Also suggestions for a tube amp would be nice.

Thanks in advance

Ordered an LCD3 on 1/16/14 directly from the Audeze site, just got it today. Channel imbalance issues, left ear has audibly louder bass response. Tested with 3 sources, all on mono, also used an SPL meter on my phone. Very disappointing. Hopefully Audeze customer service is quick and I don't have to pay return shipping for a defective product. What a shame, the sound was pretty great otherwise. Love the voicing. But I really expect more from a $2000 pair of headphones.

Did you try swapping the cable connections to the left and right sides? That would help rule out a potential cable issue. Good luck!

I swapped the cable connections and I'm getting the same issue. In mono, the left side is louder.

I will say that the cable issues I had, had a similar effect on the sound. Which cable are you using?

I don't think it's a cable issue based on the results of my tests, but I might be wrong. I am using the stock 1/4 Audeze flat cable I received with the LCD3.

Go straight to Tara at Audeze. She's a solid CS specialist who has been very helpful.
