New AKG Headphones "By Tiësto"

In retrospect, I suppose it is not such a large deal for the celebrity sponsorship for DJ headphones. They are not what AKG bases its image on. It could still do without the name, though. OTOH, although I appreciate Quincy's contributions, I still feel that a proper flagship from a reputable manufacturer should be free from artist endorsements, barring the rare and limited production "special edition" versions.

If the price and quality are decent, I'm definitely picking up a pair! I'm a huge fan of Tiësto!
For those of you who don't know him: He's been one of the top (if not the best) DJ's and EDM producers for over a decade, which is very long in EDM.

He used to make this kind of music:

And now he makes this kind of music:

It goes without saying that these tracks should be listened to entirely, since the climax is only after several minutes.

Like other people have said, Tiesto is not your typical David Guetta or Skrillex, he makes legit dance music.

Maybe you do or don't respect him...and he's definitely not limited to trance anymore, but he's more popular now than he ever was.  He's slowed down on the production front, however he headlined over 300 events/festivals in the past year and every one of his shows have sold out.

As for his headphones, I'll definitely be checking them out myself to see if they're any good for electronic music.  Though, I will be hesitant about the purchase if there is a huge TIESTO written on it.  His logo I can deal with, but his name is a bit much.SUBMIT

funny thing was if people fellowed him in the past. he didn't start with trance at all. he actually use to do gabber(dutch hardcore) but was so bad at it lol. he's better with trance but still don't consider him on the same level as armin van buuren. i never fellowed tiesto's stuff since i never cared for it and only know few of his stuff and work.

I've known Tiesto since the late '90s and he's been using AKG products for many years.

I'd like to get a pair of these as long as they're not absurdly expensive.
He sometimes signs the headphones and throws them in to the crowd at the end of the show. Not sure how often he can do this since hes has 250+ shows/year.

Top of the genre right now would have to be Swedish House Mafia.

Funny he's wearing V-modas in this clip. Guess Val didn't offer him enough money.

Armin is pretty much pure trance with some variation from time to time. Tiesto nowdays is just combining everything and it sounds good as well, something that Paul Van Dyk has been doing for quite some time and might I add he's been the most consistent in performance out of them all over the past decade and a half.
