Im slightly a bass head but i dont want the bass to make the sound go away and im on a very tight budget and the types of music i hear are r&b,rap,dubstep,jazz,and club mixes

SRH750DJs are slightly cheaper and should cover those genres very well.

Well, my HTF600 with Beyer velour pads is $50 and does the same thing, if not better.
 
It's not that it's bad. It's just that it's not that great as it seems to have been flavored to be, and certainly not worth it's price tag. I've put it up against a lot of headphones. It's not something I would call special. I'd take the SRH840 or HFI 580 any day over it. And I'd take a $30 HTF600 over all of them. But that's merely my ears and my opinion so obviously they differ.

yeah i sold the 50s after i got the 840s. 
but im a 840 fan.  even after i got better more expensive cans i still find very nice qualities in them

Both. Look at the styles. Pick the one you like the best look of. They will both deliver the sound you're likely looking for (price does not equal sound in this).

How is the comfort on SRH840? The comfort on 750DJs were pretty horrible...
