yeah probably the hfi 580.
 
but the m50 isn't that bad

Well, my HTF600 with Beyer velour pads is $50 and does the same thing, if not better.
 
It's not that it's bad. It's just that it's not that great as it seems to have been flavored to be, and certainly not worth it's price tag. I've put it up against a lot of headphones. It's not something I would call special. I'd take the SRH840 or HFI 580 any day over it. And I'd take a $30 HTF600 over all of them. But that's merely my ears and my opinion so obviously they differ.

lol
yeah i sold the 50s after i got the 840s. 
but im a 840 fan.  even after i got better more expensive cans i still find very nice qualities in them
