Neck too weak to hold up full sized headphones

Imo I'd agree with stick with IEMs. Sorry but if it was after an hour or two you were fatigued from the weight then that's one thing - but 2 minutes - sounds like over-the-head aren't for you.

I think your problem is not one of strenght, but you are tensed up because you are worried the headphones will come off. Just relax, and sit normal. The headband should do it's job and hold the headphone in place.

I think its this. I do various exercises that comes with stabilizing my neck for coherent visual acuity to the situation. The pressure and weight drops my throat down and seriously makes my tense neck uncomfortable. I am 1.68 meters tall and have practiced with cold weapons for the past 5 months. Before this, I use to be able to hold up a headphone but after having a stiff neck, it conflicts with my scoliosis muscle imbalances. Earbuds and iems are way better than headphones anyway especially at -$200 prices.

Someone also mentioned headbanging, which is also similar to the way the head has to stay fixated while everything else moves. It must be muscle imbalance, tense neck and the way the neck conditions. I stopped using pillows as well, I sleep on a wood compressed cardboard sheet with blanket over it. The neck will go back rather than elevate.

The ****, there isn't problem with using other sources of information when regarding to if others may experience this thing. To quickly understand interacting with the community. The matter is is not to diagnose, its to make awareness.

For online products, I can go read reviews. But you can use forums, why do people ascertain info all the time? Exactly this.

Do what I do - get a reclining chair that you can rest your head on. I use some of the heavier cans known to man kind and I listen to them 80% reclined.

I would also suggest seeing a specialist. And don't forget to bring along headphones. As far as I can tell from your description, it's a posture problem. You may have a normal body posture while standing, but a pair of weak or underdeveloped muscles may cause severe problems while sitting or moving your head with additional weight on it. I would recommend, as I would do to any other person on the planet, starting a general strength training routine. It won't only make you look good naked, but also improve your health and resistance against future physical impairments. Your issues may not necessarily root in your neck. They could also come from lower back, shoulders, chest... If there's no gym available, join a yoga class(!)
