Mytek Just announced their new DAC, the Manhattan,  that is supposed to include a TOL Headphone amp, with ZERO Ohm Headphone-out impedance and Headphone-out 3 positions gain switch.

Here is what they says ; "The Manhattan DAC Headphone Preamplifier represents Mytek's finest achievement. We Listen first and foremost, from the quality of our designs to our customers voices. In this vein, we created a device who's look and feel is only surpassed by its sound."

Capable of handling up to DSD 256, DXD, and 32/384 PCM, the Mytek Manhattan sure looks good on paper (and in pictures) and if it sounds anything like their Stereo192-DSD DAC or better, we're in for a real treat. Available in June 2014, the suggested retail price is pegged at $4,995 with a special introductory price of $3,995 for the first 50 orders.

Might be a real good candidate for a TOP DAC/AMP ?

Same price than the McINTOSH MHA100, but...  with Femto Clock Technology, balanced Analog-OUT and DSD/DXD support !

 One more product to follow....

The specs are very very attractive on this. But we are talking of a 5k price. Hmm.

The dac chip might be the same (ES9018), but we know nothing aobut the analog stage, distortion, etc, yet.

True, true, at 4x price, Manhattan better be really really really really good.

I was hoping that the outdated Mytek 192 DAC to catch up Oppo HA-1 and Yulong DA8, and I think Manhattan finally did ! except the price. :frowning2:
