That begs the question, on which equipment you're using the MySphere and which version. As I gather its rather picky about amp combinations. Maybe also relevant: which kind of music at what level are you listening to?

Turns out it was an issue with the XLR must be a impedance mismatch with my Burson Soloist 3xp, when I used the single ended side it worked beautifully now, just not sure what is going on with the XLR which works fine with my other cans

Glad to hear that.
Enjoy your new toy!

Is it normal to get intermittent cut outs as you move things around with these? I'm assuming since they ride a light rail it's inherent to their design

My 3.1 sound ok with my soloist 3xp in power amp mode + supercharger + sparkos. I’ve tried a dozen amps with them thus far and haven’t gotten synergy correct yet. The soloist 3gt was pretty nice if you can pickup used deal. Positioning on head and flaps is key.. pull in about 1/4 inch from ears for more bass and push out fully for the best stage and 3d effect.

Stock cable blows and is microphonic so yeah I listen in while still with mine. Eventually looking at getting a lavri grand cable.

Fortunately mine came with an excellent Norne XLR I'll need to buy a 4.4mm eventually though

I was convinced they were broken when I received them because out of the XLR they sounded like a old fashioned radio or when you have the plug half way in, until I took it to my Volot and bam there was the magic I was expecting! So I took it back to the 3xp and used my XLR to 6.3 adaptor and there it was... So thinking what's going on!?? I took my Ed5 and plugged its XLR in the 3xp and sounded great! I'm at a loss for what it could be... Sounds great XLR out of Volot as do most of my cans including Sus. I am looking to trade up the 3xp to the GT though for the dual mono

That sounds like a plug problem to me. There should be no intermittency when moving around. Try plugging in to the other side and see if that fixes the problem

Nope not a plug problem, maybe worn out sound rails?? Bought them used

That is a possibility - part of one of the rails on mine literally cracked and fell off. The sound would drop out and the connection of the speaker to the headband was wobbly at that point The whole headband was replaced under warranty. The reason I didn't mention it was I thought that nobody else would ever see that problem.

Well mine definitely isn't cracked but it is worn, so not sure how much that'll cost but may have to replace them eventually, the previous owner noted it as 'normal' so he must have experienced the same thing and just assumed it was the way it was supposed to be.
