Ok, I'm gonna brag a bit, but that's what we're here to do isn't it?

Just picked up my cocobolo cups today for my D2000s and they look FREAKIN' AWESOME, if I do say so myself.

They sound pretty darn good too, although I thought they sounded wonderful before the addition of the wood cups. I think the bass is just a hair tighter, and the highs are definitely sizzling (in a good way).

The cups were made by my friendly neighbourhood wood turner here in Toronto, so if you have a set of Denons and would like something similar, PM me and I'll shoot you his coordinates.

Enjoy the Pr0n!!

Those look great. How much did you pay for the cups?

Thanks Alex.

I'd rather not say how much I paid. I got a great deal because my wood turner didn't realize how challenging it is to actually make these cups.

However, if you would like a set they will cost you $200 Canadian plus shipping (unless you can pick them up in Toronto).

Just curious, but thanks for the information. Maybe someday though...

Wow. Amazing.
The stock cups for D2000 never were too appealing

I would have to find a cheaper alternative to modifying them though... :p
Would it alter the sound in anyway if the cups were spray painted? They are closed headphones...

Thanks Steve and top. I'm really pleased with the way they turned out.

I don't think spray painting them will do anything to the sound.

Do those match the same dimensions as the stock cups of the D2000? They look really great by the way.

The diameter is the same, but I had him make them slightly flatter. I don't like how steep the grade is on the stock cups from the edge to where it flattens out.
