Hello Head Fi forum users.

I am looking at buying new headphones (as the title suggests)
I have looked at a lot of the threads on the site but I still haven't been able to come to a decision.

Budget is not much of a concern. I am listen to most types of music but I prefer that the headphones had a resonable amount of bass.

I am not too sure on what I want but I would like it to be pretty (well not ugly).

I will be using these at university and home and will be unamped for around 6 months to a year.

I am open to suggestions.

Many Thanks

The Audio Technica ES7 is a great starter headphone. Good looks, highly portable, large soundstage for it's size, tight and impactful bass, and excellent treble clarity. Also, you may want to list your favorite music genres. The ES7 is a relatively good all rounder.

I listen to classical, rock, hip hop, R&B. Pretty much anything that sounds good (although I would say it is mostly hip hop, then classical).
