How can you have so many lines in your signature?

I never really thought about this, but it is probably more ideal to list an extensive tube collection or ex-gear in the 'account details'. Signature should be what the name suggest: a brief highlight of the most important information that helps other members to put you on the 'audio map' in their head. Or a funny quote if someone insists.

If Musician made a DAC with the "musicality" of the Pegasus and the black background of the Holo May kte, I would have already sold my May dac. I think Musician just needs to update their usb implementation and maybe make a second metal box to house the power components.

Even more musicality comes from Audio GD R-1 (or my entry level R2R-11). Then if someone wants more black background, there is R-8, then a R-8HE or R-7, then R-7HE. But I would rather stop on R-8HE and further improve black background by adding DI-20HE. Next step would be connecting 10MHz master clock. A lot of improvements can be added progressively. A standalone DAC sounds on average, the whole system matters.

However if you mean black background in Holo Audio style, I think these are mutually exclusive, as is made on the expense of the grass and texture, I can't live without.

I already have a singxer su6 as a paper weight atm. I felt any ddc I added lowered the sound quality when I didnt connect straight into the usb of the may. I really hope that musician will have a dac in the may price range in the future with a similar 2 box solution. I would get one in a heart beat

I gotta say just wow about the Peg after more upgrades. This thing scales like good headphones. It was pretty mind blowing going from a chord mojo 2 to a fully broken in R2R DAC with 2 purple fuses. Since then I've added a DDC, network streamer, power purifier and nice power cable, upgraded most of my cables to shielded cables and cleaned all connections, added better tubes to my amp. The detail, noise floor, richness is just wow over again. Final touch will be a master clock. The Peg does seem sensitive to a bad system and bad power which is understandable, but it really shines when you get it right. There is so much flexibility between all the outputs

Glad to see people still enjoying the Pegasus.
I’ve had the May KTE, Spring 3 KTE, Pro iDSD Sig, Yggdrasil A2, etc, but I enjoy the sound signature of the Pegasus the most out of them all. Responds really well to peripheral upgrades too. Really love this DAC.
