Oh yes ! at my house, I and I also award him this prize, without possible objection
In Europe prices are more similar, €1300 for the Pegasus and €1860 for the Pontus II.I would be surprised if the Pegasus sounds like a twice as expensive Pontus, but the almighty Ares II may be even better
I’m in the UK, but would you mind sharing the link for the fuses? I also have the Draco (sorry if this is a derail). Seems like a small investment to try for audio improvement which is welcome in this hobby.Amazing upgrade on my cheap Draco with fuses, cheap 20$ aucharm nano gold silver nano fuse with silver coil = Instant detectable audio boost. 50%of hissing tingling air tremble is removed immediately.
my Pegasus is fine to run with usb of pi4, macOS and windows. on Mac only 32bit can be choosenHi, anyone tried RPI4 via USB to Pegasus? Does it work? Would like to try R2R dac but not keen in adding a DDC.
The Pegasus works very well with my Allo USBridge (rpi cm3) but not with the RPI4 I just bought.my Pegasus is fine to run with usb of pi4, macOS and windows. on Mac only 32bit can be choosen

Thanks for the info. My RPI4 is not new. Hope it will not have the same problem. The Pegasus works very well with my Allo USBridge (rpi cm3) but not with the RPI4 I just bought.
I have tried several distributions... nothing to do, the USB does not lock.
I have updated the eprom of the RPI4... nothing.

But...
I have just tried using a hub (Anker USB3) between Dac / RPI4 ... and it works !!
A problem with the last RPI4 batch ?
I only tried Moode DLNA and NAA image to reach pcm1536khz and dsd1024 by PGGB and HQplayer. It's difficult to update DietPi from China. The Pegasus works very well with my Allo USBridge (rpi cm3) but not with the RPI4 I just bought.

My Topping A90 works fine with Pegasus without anything wrong no matter for headphone or speakerNope. It can only make sound worse. Topping input impedance is extremely low, people should be aware of that. It is below 2kOhm if I remember correctly, it should be close to 100kOhm on XLR. When paired with Pegasus you can expect high frequency roll off, increasing distortions, as ladder is overloaded by low input impedance of the preamp.
In addition, it is nested lopback opamp design, it measure well, but will react poor to the high frequency components coming out of a ladder. For a ladder DAC like this, Class A discrete amplifier is better, or a tube.

FA-10 is very good amp and 10k Ohms is only marginal below standard, I didn't hear pairing problems with Denafrips/Musicians.I have flux fa-10. In the specifications it says 10KOhm input impedance. Would it be an issue with pegasus? To my ear, it sounds very good and I am very happy with the current setup.
