Hi everyone, I am new here. I recently bought HD 598 headphones. In the beginning, I could easily tell the difference between this and my old HD 201, but recently I bought Asus Xonar Essence Stx, which has an headphone amp card. Now even my HD 201 has an almost equivalent wide soundstage as my HD 598, almost to the point it sounds the same on many music. Can anyone suggest any specific music, where I can tell the difference between them?

PS: I am not applying any effect such as auditorium, etc in the Xonar audio manager. I have kept it generic defualt.

i think all music sounds good on open headphones. live recordings are probably the best though.... ambient is also pretty neat with open headphones.
